About Us

Bellawood
Farm was established in 2007 when we moved to Stone School Road
into what was once known as the “Armsby House,” years later
known as “King’s Farm.” Built in 1752, it is one of the oldest
homes in Sutton.
The Brighams have a family history of dairy
farming. Justin’s grandfather John Dexter Brigham grew up on
Calmer Farm on Leland Hill Road, where he and generations before
him milked Jersey cows until the farm was destroyed in the
tornado of 1953.
Bellawood Farm was supposed to be
named after the ship Justin’s grandfather served on in WWII the
USS Belleau Wood, but apparently Tara didn’t realize how it was
spelled when she had a sign made as a surprise gift…and thus
Bellawood Farm was born!

We
started out with a few llamas and goats as pets, but have
expanded to larger dairy goats, chickens, and miniature
donkeys. We produce our own free-range eggs, and goats milk and
cheese for our family. We also make goat’s milk soap which is
wonderful for the skin. We have seasonal events and enjoy farm
visits by families or groups.
